Jack o'Lantern

More than a symbol
Wisp, night watchman or contemporary luminous pumpkin... The origin of Jack o'Lantern, which is mentioned as early as the 17th century in East Anglia (south- west of England) according to the online etymological dictionary Douglas Harper, is lost in time. And it doesn't matter. It is both the most obvious symbol of Halloween and undoubtedly represents a strong symbolism. No matter how thick the darkness is, a light will remain to always guide us.
